First it was my cat, now my dog.... We took her to the vet the other day because she wasn't her usual jumpy, talkative, happy dog I knew and love. The vet took a scan of her and found a large tumor in her stomach. It had already spread to her kidney, spleen and lungs so there was nothing that could have been done to save her... One day she was fine, the other she could hardly get on her feet. It all happened so quickly... Both Aki and Juni has been such a big part of my life for so long. Sleep well my darlings....
*edit* Thank you all for the condolences and sweet words. I'm not replying to any comments here but I want you to know I do read every post and appreciate your words...
I am so sorry, I know exactly how you feel. Two months ago my dog Zena died from bone cancer, we found out about six months before that and everyday, I sat there watching her get worse and worse.... There was nothing I could do and I felt hopeless. I had Zena for my whole life since I was three... before that I had lost my other dog and I was in even more pain. They had been such a big part of my life for so long just like your dog and cat, my advice for you is to remember all of the good times you had with them and keep them in your heart. That helped me and hopefully that will help you.
Sorry for your loss. My cat has oral bone cancer right now....He doesn't seem to be suffering so were just counting down the days he has left. We give them the best life we can and I think they will always remember that. *hugs*
