Morning Arrival by AnnieMsson Morning Arrival by AnnieMsson
The other day I bought a new inking pen, one of those brush like types, and for testing it I made a quick unicorn.
Lately I've been sketching lot's of unicorns with lion tails, cloven hooves and stuff. I blame the Firebringer books. lol!

Maybe this is scrap material considering the lineart only took 5-10 minutes but since I just spent about 3-4 hours coloring it I think I'll keep it in my main gallery..for now at least. The sun/moon icon was made because the corner looked kind of empty to me, heh >_>

Might not be my best stuff but I hope you people enjoy anyway :D

This is a really neat idea, and the pose is pretty! I think it turned out great! The idea of cloven-hooved unicorns are growing on me, too, I must admit. I'm still debating on whether or not to use them for the fantasy story I have to finish before July 25th, though. But boy if this lovely piece of art hasn't influenced me further toward the lion-tailed, cloven-hooved type. <3

Thank you! When I read the Firebringer trilogy I always tend to draw this type of unicorns. They feel very traditional.
Good luck with your story :D

The picture is really powerful! The colors just swept me away!
I really liked the angle you chose to picture the horse!

I love the concept of this one and I really really like the unique posing of the unicorn, you don't often see horse/pony or any animal really that isn't looking towards the viewer! Definately a Fav!

Thank you so much! :D When I do sketches it gives me more freedom in movements and posing. That's pretty nice once in a while but generally people(me included) like drawing the face of what they are working on so that might be the reason why characters usually end up facing the viewer. :D

Very very beautiful!! The colours are amazing and the lineart does not look like it was quickly done. :wow: It's a wonderful and very imaginative piece! :D

Thank you so much! Got to love that inking pen, inking drawings never been faster. I can't do things very detailed with it though since it makes pretty wide lines. Still, it's fun
