I guess this is one of my first honest try to do a landscape.
To begin with I only wanted to paint a tree but that would have made a pretty boring painting... so I picked out my acrylics. This was made using three colours only, titanium white, cobalt blue and phthalocyanine blue.
Blue isn't my favourite colour but I thought it would fit the atmosphere XD

I like this, the way you have wrapped the tree around itself and the linear style that gives the piece a strange and windy movement about it. I did a similair thing with the lines around the tree a while back - it's quite a nice technique to explore

I was searching for some good festuca glauca (ornamental blue grass) stock when I came across your lovely picture. I like the way the willow fronds are like those on a traditional willow pattern plate, and the twisty sinuousness of the trunk is fab! Beautiful moonlit scene does not give me the blues. :+fav:
